Microsoft releases Windows App Studio Installer to make installing App Studio apps easier

Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Universal application to make installing apps created with the Windows App Studio easier called Windows App Studio Installer.

If you're not familiar with the Windows App Studio, it's a web application that allows users to create Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 universal apps without writing any code at all. The user can then download the source code and if they choose, they can edit it in Visual Studio.

App Studio has become popular with bloggers, as it can be as simple as plugging in a few RSS feeds and compiling the package. Aside from the source code, the user has the option of having the App Studio create an installable package and/or a package that can be uploaded to the Store.

Up until now, installing that package has been a bit of a complicated task. Users would have to run a Powershell script to install a certificate and then another script to install the app. On Windows phone, the user would have to scan two QR codes to install the certificate and the app.

At the moment, it would appear that the app doesn't work. Both the mobile and desktop versions only seem to come equipped with a QR scanner and even when scanning the QR code that should install the mobile app, it states that it's not valid.

On the other hand, when checking out the app's About section, it shows lorem ipsum, which is standard filler content. Clearly, this app isn't yet meant for public use.
