Thanks anonymous...I doubt MS will come clear about this at the moment. The talk of all the new MS-security thinking wouldnt go well with the fact that one of their more important security servers has been breached

And after reading other newsgroupmessages in the private ngs others had gotten the same mail. And www.betaplace.com was down the last 24 hours. Seems like the server keeping all the betaids/password has been hacked/breached. Heres a post from the admins in the beta newsgroups:
