A couple of weeks ago, Amazon slashed the price of the Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 to just $224.99. But if that wasn't enough of a discount for you, the Microsoft Store has an even better deal, offering the handset for just $199, which is marked down from its regular price of $470, a 57% discount.
The US Microsoft Store now only sells four Windows handsets, two of which are made by Acer and aren't supported for current feature updates. Microsoft doesn't even sell its own Lumias anymore, so if you're thinking about picking up a Windows phone, this is probably the one for you.
The Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 includes a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, and a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display. The rear camera is a 21-megapixel sensor with a dual-tone flash that can record 4K video, and the front camera is eight megapixels. It even comes with a VR headset.
It's also worth noting that it's eligible for the Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, and the current feature2 Development Branch builds.
