If you've been thinking of buying a high-end Surface Book in the UK, you might want to take advantage of a cashback deal that's currently available on the device.
UK shopping network Quidco is offering £120 cashback on purchases of Surface Books with Intel Core i7 processors from the Microsoft Store. Here's how that cashback works out as a percentage of the purchase price for each model:
- Core i7 / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD / dGPU | £1,799 | cashback = 6.6%
- Core i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / dGPU | £2,249 | cashback = 5.3%
As you can see, that works out a good deal better than the £25 cashback (equivalent to no more than 1.4% of the Surface Book's price) that was offered in another Microsoft-Quidco deal last month.
To qualify for the offer, you'll need a free Quidco account. Once you're signed up, click through to the Microsoft Store from this page, so that your purchase will be tracked by Quidco. The company estimates that the £120 cashback from the purchase will be paid into your Quidco account by the end of July, after which you can then withdraw it to your bank or PayPal account, or convert it to Amazon Gift Cards.
The cashback deal expires on June 5, and you can also combine it with a separate deal currently available at the Microsoft Store. Until June 6, Microsoft is offering a free Surface Dock and Pen Tip Kit, worth a combined total of £175, with purchases of its Surface Book, as well as the Surface Pro 4 tablet.
