Microsoft Teams gets big updates on iOS, and Windows 10 Mobile

It has been over a month since Microsoft begun the global rollout of Teams for Office 365 subscribers in 181 countries, and the company is continuously working on improving the experience of its "chat-based workspace". On the mobile apps front, two major updates are now available for iOS and Windows 10 Mobile, bringing new features to the app on these platforms.

As per the App Store listing, the iOS version of Teams includes the following enhancements:

  • Connect face to face using immersive video calls
  • Tailored user experience for iPad
  • Easily add or remove team members
  • Create new channels
  • Rename group chats and add new members to existing chats
  • Improved image viewer lets you zoom and pan easily
  • Improved support for previewing files in conversations
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

Meanwhile, the Windows 10 Mobile version of the app features the following changes:

  • Single sign-in with other Office 365 apps
  • You can now @mention teams and channels
  • You can open emails sent to a channel
  • Improved mobile support for Connector messages
  • Support for certificate based authentication
  • Support for mobile device management
  • Ability to un/follow channel from creation menu
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

The Android app, which was last updated in March has not received any update as of yet. iOS and Windows 10 Mobile users can head to the links mentioned below to get the latest update, if you haven't already received a notification on your mobile device.
