Ever since Microsoft announced that it's rebuilding its Edge browser from Google's open-source Chromium, it's been pretty unclear what parts of the old Edge will make its way into the new Edge, which is codenamed Anaheim. While the entire browser has leaked, it's still missing most of the features that made Microsoft's in-house browser unique in the first place.
One of those features is streaming Netflix in 4K, something that only Edge has been able to do since 2016. Other browsers only support up to 720p, with the exception of Internet Explorer, which will stream in 1080p. As it turns out though, Anaheim will be able to stream in 4K after all.
Over on Reddit, some folks spotted flags in the leaked browser for Widevine and PlayReady. PlayReady is the hardware-based DRM system that allows for 4K streaming, although you're still going to need an Intel Kaby Lake processor or higher, or an Nvidia GeForce GPU from the 1000 series or higher.
Interestingly, these flags won't be found in other Chromium-based browsers, including Google's Chrome. It's possible, however, that that will change over time.
One feature that you can expect not to see in Anaheim is the ability to read e-books, as Microsoft killed off the feature and stopped selling them just this morning.
