Microsoft's IE team giving out free cupcakes to San Francisco developers today

Last week, Microsoft released the Windows 7 developer preview of Internet Explorer 11, along with an update to their modern.IE development tools. Today, Microsoft is taking their IE development campaign on the road to San Francisco, but in a rather different way.

As posted on the official IE blog, Microsoft's IE intern team is working with Kara’s Cupcakes to send some free cupcakes to a number of San Francisco developers today. Microsoft states:

Follow @IE and stay tuned at modern.IE all day to see where we’re stopping. If you’re in SF, tweet us your office address and we just might make a special delivery. Not in SF? That’s okay – tweet us anyway because you never know what city we might be coming to next…

This is all part of an effort by Microsoft to show developers some of the new tools they can use to adapt their websites to best use IE11 on Windows 7. Of course, long time Microsoft and IE followers know that giving out cupcakes isn't exactly a new thing. The IE team has in the past sent a free cupcake to the Firefox team at Mozilla when they released a new version of their web browser.
