Microsoft's Xbox One X pre-orders just went live. However, if you're not jumping at the chance to spend $499 on Microsoft's premium game console, you can get your hands on the cheaper, and still-capable, Xbox One S plus the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of War as a console bundle.
Announced at gamescom 2017, Microsoft revealed a new console bundle that will include the highly-anticipated action/RPG title Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Gamers can choose between either a 500GB or 1TB Xbox One S console that will include Shadow of War for $279 or $349, respectively. If you're in the market for the less-expensive Xbox console and the game interests you, this is the best way to jump in with Xbox since you're getting the game at no extra cost to you.
The Xbox One S Shadow of War bundle includes:
- Xbox One S (500GB or 1TB)
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War, including the bonus in-game items Legendary Champions War Party and the Epic Sword of Dominion
- Xbox Wireless Controller
- 1-month Xbox Game Pass subscription with unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games
- 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial
The bundle will be available through Microsoft and participating retailers on October 10. The 1TB version will be available in all Xbox One markets except for China and Japan. The 500GB bundle will be available in all Xbox One markets, excluding the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, China, and Japan. Both bundle options are available for pre-order now.
