MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.7.5 released for a handful of Xiaomi handsets

In an effort to improve its software offerings, Xiaomi introduced a new revision of its MIUI OS last month. The Global Beta of the update featuring Google Play Services is now available for a handful of handsets.

Xiaomi has done its best to give MIUI a fresh look and also added some new features to keep it interesting. Along with changes to the aesthetics, the OS has introduced a number of gestures, relying on swipes to go back, switch to a previous app, or open Recents. The OS also has new sounds, themed after the elements like Rain and Sand.

This is a beta, so you will want to back up your important information prior to downloading and installing the update. You will be required to download the OS and load it by flashing. As always, when doing this procedure, there is a risk, so be sure to take caution and read things carefully before proceeding. If you need more detailed instructions, you can head to the source link below. The update is currently only available for the Mi 5, Mi 6, Mi MIX, Mi MIX 2, Mi MIX 2S, Mi Note 2, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi Note 5 Pro.
