Free-to-play title Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 first came out exclusively on the PlayStation 4 platform back in October 2019. Developed and published by B.B. Studio and Bandai Namco, the 6v6 online shooting game will soon be making its way to the PlayStation 5.

Today, Sony took to the PlayStation blog to announce the PS5 launch date for the online multiplayer Mobile Suit Gundam title. The video game will release on January 28, 2021, on Sony's next-gen console. This variant of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 has been optimised for the PlayStation 5.

Players will be able to experience the gameplay with the DualSense controller's haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and audio features integrated into the game. The triggers will replicate the feeling of firing bullets, players will be able to hear gunshots through the controller, and will also be able to feel the impact of bullets due to haptic feedback.

The PlayStation 5 release will have faster load times, better framerate and the ability to transfer saved game data from the PS4 over to the PS5. It will also feature a brand new map called the Military Base and new voiceovers in English for the characters Neidhardt, Tenda and Katarina.
