Months late, ASUS finally rolls out Android Wear 2.0 to the ZenWatch 3

ASUS missed yet another of its deadlines for bringing Android Wear 2.0 to its devices this week, but the update is now, finally, making its way to the ZenWatch 3.

Getting to this point has been a somewhat tortuous process for those awaiting the update:

A day later than promised, ASUS began its Android Wear 2.0 rollout for the ZenWatch 3 yesterday. The ZenWatch 2 will have to wait a bit longer; ASUS said previously that the update will make its way to that device in two waves - the first sometime in mid-July, and the second either in late July or early August - but it's probably best not to get your hopes up.

Owners of the ZenWatch 3, at least, will no doubt be relieved to finally receive the update, fourteen months after it was originally announced.
