Murdered: Soul Suspect announced

Square Enix has a pretty major game coming out in March; the revamp of the Tomb Raider series. However, the developer-publisher has something else up its sleeve that's due for release in early 2014. It's a game called Murdered: Soul Suspect and it looks like it's going to be a bit different.

Square Enix launched the official teaser site for the game today, which will be released for the PC and other platforms. It included a CGI trailer that shows what looks like one of those hard boiled detectives who finds himself on the wrong side of a gun and gravity. The trailer has some supernatural elements as well; we see what looks like a ghost that passes through our unlucky private dick.

It appears the game will center on the player trying to solve the murder of his own character. Square Enix isn't saying much else beyond what's in the teaser trailer and there's also no word on which of the company's development teams is making the game.

Still, it looks like its going to be something different than the normal shooter, and if it turns out to be an entertaining game that's going to be a bonus. We will keep an eye out for Murdered: Soul Suspect in the months ahead.
