Napster to be re-born in early 2002!

Just when you thought it was safe to drop your current song swapping favourite piece of software for Napster, they go and announces that it will be back on the "air" sometime early 2002. Are you excited? :O

"Napster continues to move forward and our launch date is now for the first quarter of next year," Chief Executive Officer Konrad Hilbers said in a speech to an industry conference. Hilbers said the new target launch date -- months later than originally planned -- reflected difficulties in obtaining licenses for major recording label content -- licenses which will most effect the final launch date and service price.
