News about a new Forza Motorsport game will be shared next month

If you're a hardcore fan of the Forza franchise, today's announcement of Forza Street may have been a little disappointing in contrast to the other games in the series. If you weren't impressed by Microsoft's venture into free-to-play games, you may be happy to know that Turn 10 is working on a new Forza Motorsport title, the first since Forza Motorsport 7 launched in 2017.

The announcement was made during the April edition of Forza Monthly, a Mixer live stream that talks about many aspects of the franchise. Despite having news to share as early as next month, the game won't arrive until some time in 2020, so you'll be waiting a while before you can get your hands on it.

This is because the development team wants to listen to its fans more than ever, and it's planning to get the community involved in the development earlier on in the development cycle. As Windows Central reports, instead of making the game and then asking for feedback, Turn 10 will be giving fans more power from the start.

It's not currently clear what the implications of that involvement are, or just how much Microsoft will be showing off next month. Nonetheless, if you prefer traditional Forza titles over the Forza Horizon series, the announcement should be an exciting one. The next edition of Forza Monthly streams on May 7, starting at 11AM Pacific Time, on the Forza channel on Mixer.
