NFC Ring offers a more subtle way to pay at contactless pay terminals

If you've been looking for a more inconspicuous way of making payments at tap terminals, the NFC Ring might be for you.

Initially unveiled in June for use by athletes at the Rio Olympics, the rings have now been made available to the public for pre-order. The ring is supported by Visa, allowing you to make payments at contactless pay terminals all over the world. The rings can also perform more traditional tasks like unlock your smartphone, door or any other devices that supports NFC. Those concerned about security will be happy to know that the ring offers two different NFC inlays, one for private and another for public interactions.

The NFC Ring is now available for pre-order at a price of £39.99 or roughly $52 USD. The ring is available in two colors, black and white, and should arrive in December. Those looking for a standard NFC ring without payment option, can pick one up on sale starting at $25.
