Nintendo Switch is getting a battle royale game too

With the war between Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds well underway, with the former recently reaching a surprising 10 million concurrent player base, one platform has stood out among all others as not having one of these seemingly popular games: the Nintendo Switch.

With PUBG being exclusive - for the time being - to Xbox One and PC, and Fortnite developers not making any visible moves towards the new hybrid console from Nintendo, an indie developer has taken up the challenge and announced that in addition to launching an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of its upcoming Battle Royale-style game, it will launch a Switch version as well.

Crazy Justice takes a lot of inspiration from Fortnite, having a similar art style to the title from Epic Games. Beyond that, the game boasts destructible environments, and the developer has also made mention of a possible split screen mode, among other features. It will come with several game modes - solo and multiplayer - beyond the aforementioned Battle Royale, including Survive, and Survive the Tesla.

Beyond just giving gamers the ability to win their chicken dinner, Black Riddles Studios announced that it will 'definitely' attempt to get the upcoming game to support cross-network play. This might prove difficult since Sony hasn't been playing nice with other titles including Rocket League, with Xbox head Phil Spencer noting that he isn't too positive about the idea that PlayStation 4 owners will ever be able to play against those on Xbox One.

Crazy Justice is expected to launch in 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and is currently being crowdfunded through Fig.
