Nokia Lumia 920 to include 8MP cam and wireless charging?

The long, long wait to find out about Nokia's next-generation Windows Phones is almost over. On Wednesday, the company will officially announce its first Windows Phone 8 devices - although unless you've been asleep for the last few days, you'll likely have already seen hints of what's to come.

Just a few days after the first images of two new Lumia handsets emerged, more details have been revealed about the flagship device, the Lumia 920. One exciting feature said to be included in the new device is wireless charging. Based on the Qi wireless power standard, the handset will be compatible with other wireless charging units rather than relying on a proprietary charging technology.

A more intriguing revelation is that the new Lumia will have an 8MP camera, which will carry PureView branding, despite having a significantly lower megapixel count than the 808 PureView, which featured an astonishing 41MP shooter. According to The Verge, "advancements in image stablization and camera software" will justify the inclusion of PureView branding, although we suspect that this will prove to be a contentious decision for some.

A 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage are also expected on the new handset, along with a 4.5" HD display.
