Nvidia 399.07 WHQL drivers deliver Battlefield V beta, PES 2019 optimizations and more

Nvidia has put forth its GeForce Game Ready 399.07 WHQL drivers, bringing along optimizations for quite a number of titles, including the upcoming Battlefield V open beta, which kicks off on September 6, as well as F1 2018, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, Strange Brigade, Immortal: Unchained, and Switchblade.

For those on multiple GPU configurations, SLI profiles have been added for F1 2018 and Immortal: Unchained as well. Here are all the bug fixes included in this driver:

  • [Rainbow Six Siege]: TAA at 100% causes screen to be blurry when not moving in after driver update. [2322283]
  • [Notebook][MSHybrid]: Fixed diagonal tearing by using win7-blit model. [2042900]
  • [GeForce GTX 1050/1070]: OpenGL driver does not release the rendering context correctly. [2305430]
  • [Oculus]: Blue-screen crash occurs when using Oculus VR software. [2321140]
  • [Geforce 600/700 series Kepler GPUs][Doom (2016)]: Missing textures when using Vulkan API. [2322723]
  • [LA Noire VR]: Stability issues occur when running LA Noire VR. [2305821]
  • [Call of Duty Black Ops 4]: Stuttering and performance issues occur for some game configurations. [2318552]
  • [G-SYNC]: Fixed Windowed G-Sync mode may stutter after upgrading to Windows 10 Spring Creators Update. [2097340]

Meanwhile, here are the known issues to keep an eye out for:

  • Random DPC watchdog violation errors occur when using multiple GPUs on motherboards with PLX chips. [2079538]
  • Using power monitoring in GPU monitor tools causes micro stutter. [2110289/2049879]

Additional issues

  • Custom color settings reset on reboot in Windows 10 FCU
  • Random DPC watchdog violation error when using multiple GPUs on motherboards with PLX chips
    • Workaround: Use the following tool to enable MSI mode as a temporary workaround (only apply changes to each NVIDIA GPU installed):
  • Using power monitoring in GPU monitor tools causing micro stutter
  • G-sync not working on Planetside 2 -> Fixed in next driver branch
  • Gears of War 4 may freeze/crash after extended period of gameplay
