Nvidia hypes Nforce2 for multiplayer gaming

JUST IN CASE you've given up on ever seeing an NForce2 board, Nvidia has set some up for you to play with.

The company has set up a bunch of servers for the game Battlefield 1942, using ASUStek's NForce 2-based A7N8X motherboards. Nvidia claims the boards deliver the "lowest ping and the highest number of simultaneous players of the servers currently available today." It says that for online gaming, the pairing of AMD Athlon XP and NVIDIA nForce2 delivers the "fastest, smoothest and most stable platform".

The NVIDIA nForce2 servers are hosted on www.nvidia.com and will appear on your Battlefield 1942 multiplayer interface with an NVIDIA_nForce2 designation, with the name of some general or other.
