OnePlus ignores the cries of its customers wanting Nougat on the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X

OnePlus has been riding a fairly good wave this past year with the release of the OnePlus 3 and 3T. Furthermore, it has managed to keep the handsets reasonably up to date by offering Android 7.1.1. While this may all be well and good, there is a subset of the OnePlus community that has yet to hear anything about their devices and corresponding updates.

Those that own a OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X device have yet to see their handsets updated to Android 7.0 Nougat. While an upgrade for the X was never promised, the firm did state that the '2' would receive Google's Nougat update. According to the folks at Android Police, that statement was made nearly a year ago and nothing more has been mentioned since. Naturally, it could take some time for the handsets to get updated, previously the OnePlus X took a year to receive Marshmallow from the time of Google's initial release.

While not receiving an update is understandably disappointing, what's probably worse is the fact that OnePlus has not acknowledged or responded on the topic, despite forum members repeatedly bringing the subject to light.
