OnePlus is moving its 6T launch to October 29 because of Apple

A couple of weeks ago, OnePlus announced that its next product launch would be on October 30 in New York City. Things have changed since then though, as just yesterday, Apple announced that it will be holding its iPad event on the same day. So today, OnePlus decided to move its event up by a day, as it will now be held on October 29.

The news was posted on the OnePlus community boards, and the firm promises to accommodate anyone that's disrupted by the news. First of all, for anyone that purchased tickets - as OnePlus sells tickets to its product launches for fans - the company will be offering a full refund to anyone that needs it.

Secondly, the firm promises to cover any costs that you might have incurred because of the change. That means that OnePlus will cover the cost to reschedule your flight, or change your hotel reservation. The company will be getting in touch with ticket holders, and also asked that you spread the word.

CEO Pete Lau, who penned the forum post, wasn't shy about why the event is being moved to a day earlier. He said that the OnePlus 6T launch will be overshadowed by Apple's event, and that the company has "only just begun our journey and cannot afford to let one of the most important products in our history be affected by another great product launch."

It will still be held at New York City, although Lau didn't specify if it's located at the same venue.
