In what seems to be a PR stunt to promote the new Warp Charge 30T, OnePlus has arranged an emergency truck to drive around London for the day to help those with low battery levels charge up their phones. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is calling it the 'Warp Charge SOS' campaign, and it is available to all members of the public. Designed to look like a fire engine, the emergency battery charging truck operators are saving British residents' dying phones dressed as firefighters.
Those interested in requesting the charging service can contact OnePlus to send the truck over by posting their location on the OnePlus UK Facebook page or by sending out a Tweet with the hashtag 'WarpChargeSOS' to the official OnePlus UK Twitter account.
Although the Warp Charge SOS service will only be available in London for today, the OnePlus rescue vehicle is headed for two cities situated in the Netherlands on October 5, Amsterdam and Utrecht. The final stop for the emergency battery charging truck is Helsinki, Finland, on October 9.
