OnePlus reveals the first official image of its new flagship phone, the 5

On Tuesday, OnePlus said that it will formally announce its next smartphone on June 20. Numerous details about the new OnePlus 5 have emerged in recent weeks through a series of leaks; indeed, just a few hours after the company revealed its planned launch date, an image of the handset leaked online, providing a clear look at its design.

Today, OnePlus published its first official image of the new device, confirming the authenticity of that leaked render.

A larger version of the image is also being used on OnePlus' social media accounts, showing almost the entire rear side of the handset.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently confirmed that the 5 will have a Snapdragon 835 processor, and claimed that it will be "the thinnest flagship phone". The OnePlus 5 could be priced at around €550 in Europe.
