Opera launches innovative Opera Touch on Apple's iPhone months after Android

Opera has announced that it has launched Opera Touch, its new innovative browser, on Apple’s iPhone platform. The firm pointed out that users in the United States tend to stick to iOS’ default web browser, Safari. Taking a swipe at Apple’s browser, Opera said that “the only thing Safari is currently really best at is at being the default browser.”

We previously reported that Opera Touch would be arriving on the iPhone today because the firm had announced a private beta period in order to invite testers to find any last minute bugs.

To accompany the launch, Opera also threw together a new video poking fun at Apple’s cult status to advertise the new product:

Opera Touch is noteworthy due to its unique features, for example, search is put front and centre upon launch so you can begin quickly, there’s a Fast Action Button which gives you quick access to search, recent tabs, and browser controls, and finally, the browser is able to sync to Opera Desktop by scanning a QR code.

If you want to try out the new web browser, head over to the App Store on your iPhone and hit download.
