Order of War: New RTS from Square Enix

The trailer of the upcoming World War 2 RTS, Order of War, which is being published by Square Enix with collaboration from Wargaming.net, is coming out to PAL territories in the autumn of 2009. The game is Square Enix's first North American developed title and will be out exclusively for the PC.

The game will take allow to to control entire armies which will provide for some massive battles. The games main appeal is the cinematic style of fighting coming with intensity never seen before from a WWII RTS. The game's single player can be played through two different perspectives, the Americans vs the Germans and the Germans vs the Russians. The game's timeline is 1944 and onwards.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "ORDER OF WAR offers Square Enix an exciting opportunity to enter this hugely popular genre, and is a strong proposition for our first western developed release. With its cinematic intensity, hugely realistic battles and historical accuracy, the game looks set to whet the appetite of any war gaming fan."
