Palm handset could debut on Verizon during second half of 2018

TCL has been in the process of resurrecting the BlackBerry brand since it acquired the license in late 2016. It could be due to its success, that TLC made plans to also try and resurrect another beloved brand under its wing, Palm. Now, it appears that a handset could arrive in the second half of 2018.

According to Android Police, there are plans to launch a new Palm device on Verizon. The handset will run Android but that's pretty much the extent of available information at this point. Of course, sometimes things like this can just be a rumor, but there is some credence to the story, as a TCL executive back in August of 2017 indicated the company's intentions to reveal Palm-branded devices during the course of this year.

So, for those that are on Verizon in the United States who still yearn for a Palm handset, this could be happening soon. But, of course, plans can always change and we may never see an Android-based Palm handset see the light of day.
