Pebble firmware v2.3 update brings notification skipping, improved BT stability, and more

Pebble has released a new update today that will bring a new skip notification feature to the device, along with other software improvements. The firmware version, numbered at 2.3, is available from the official Pebble app via iOS and Android.

In order to take advantage of this new update, Pebble owners will have to open the official Pebble application on their iOS or Android device, select the support menu, and then hit update. The new firmware update will also bring improved stability, improved Bluetooth LE connectivity, and bug fixes.

The new Pebble firmware update will also be accompanied by a new iOS Pebble app update that will enable JavaScript apps on the iOS Pebble app store. Previously this was disabled and would show iOS Pebble owners a “coming soon” message. But, after the update, iOS users will be able to fully take advantage of all the available Pebble applications.

This is the second update for Pebble this month. The previous update introduced music controls and the ability to reorganize the Pebble menu. The update is available now for iOS and Android. The Pebble watch retails for $150 USD for the standard version and $250 USD for the steel version.
