Official announcement expected shortly; PS2 owners likely to miss out
Earlier this week, eagle-eyed journalists at the site reported that the Xbox build of the massively anticipated game which was being shown off at the Game Stars Live consumer show in London sports an Xbox Live button in the front end.
The Xbox version of Konami's forthcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 4 will "definitely" be playable online, insider sources at the firm have told our sister site Eurogamer.net - but exact details of the online modes are still under wraps. Despite the inclusion of this button in the build, Konami has yet to officially confirm or deny Xbox Live support, but we understand from sources close to the publisher that an announcement is now imminent.
Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is due out on PS2, Xbox and PC early this October.
