Speaking during their E3 press conference, Sony has announced the release date for the highly-anticipated PlayStation Move. The motion-sensing game controller for the PlayStation 3 uses the PlayStation Eye camera to track the wand's position, allowing the integration of player’s movement into games.
PlayStation Move is set to hit store shelves on September 15 in North America, September 19 in Europe and October 21 in Japan.
On release, the PlayStation Move motion controller will carry a $49.99 price tag. A bundle with the PlayStation Eye and Sports Champions game will cost $99.99. The bundle will also be paired with a PlayStation 3 console for $399.99. The PlayStation Move navigation controller is sold separately for $29.99.
Additionally, Sony’s Peter Dille announced that there will be between 15-20 PlayStation Move titles available when the controller releases. Each will be priced at $39.99 with over 40 titles being available by the holiday season.
Sony’s PlayStation Move played a large role in the developer’s E3 press conference. The video game expo takes place June 15-17 at Los Angeles Convention Center.
