Poco X3 NFC goes official with 120Hz display, Snapdragon 732G, 64MP quad-camera setup

Poco today announced its newest mid-range smartphone and the successor to the excellent Poco X2 from earlier this year, the Poco X3 NFC. The device is just a slight upgrade over the Poco X2 with minor improvements in the performance, design, and battery life department.

The front of the device is dominated by a 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate. It can also dynamically switch to 90Hz or lower refresh rate to save power. The Poco X3 comes with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 730G chipset that offers a slight performance uptick. It also has LiquidCool technology to ensure the device does not heat up when playing heavy games.

At the rear, the device features a quad-camera setup which includes a primary 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle shooter, and 2MP depth and macro sensor. The IMX682 sensor is a slightly downgraded version of the IMX686 sensor found on the Poco X2 and allows the device to record videos at up to 4K resolution in 30fps. The punch-hole at the front houses a 20MP selfie shooter.

The Poco X3 NFC features Gorilla Glass panels at the front and rear, and it is also IP53 certified. It comes with a stereo speaker setup, with the earpiece at the top acting as a secondary speaker. Other specs of the device include a 5,160mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, USB-C connectivity, IR blaster, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, headphone jack, and more. The device runs on MIUI 12 out of the box with Poco Launcher 2.0. Impressively, Poco is promising three years of software updates for the device.

As the name suggests, the Poco X3 NFC comes with NFC meaning it can be used for NFC payments and transit pass, wherever available.

Poco is also bundling an anti-bacterial case with the Poco X3 NFC inside the box that can reduce the germs and bacteria that the phone would otherwise pick up.

The Poco X3 NFC will be available with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The base variant with 64GB is priced at €229 while the 6GB+128GB is priced at €269. As an early bird offer, the base variant of the Poco X3 NFC will be available for €199 from September 8-11 on Amazon, Banggod, Mi.com, Gearbest, AliExpress, and other retailers. The device will be available in Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray colors.
