PS Network is currently experiencing connectivity problems

The past few days have not been kind to Sony. After a malicious message was found to be causing havoc on the PS Network, making users reset their consoles, the company's online services are now experiencing outages.

The company acknowledged users' complaints in a new tweet, and assured them that it was working on a fix. Meanwhile, going over to the network service status page for the PlayStation Network shows both the account management, and gaming and social services, to be experiencing outages. The first would explain why users are unable to log into their PSN accounts.

"You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience," states the service status page regarding the latter.

In related news, Sony has finally fixed the issue pertaining to a malicious message that had been making the rounds on PSN last week, which means it should hopefully not affect any new consoles. For those whose machines were already compromised, Sony also elaborated a quick fix, which you can read more about here.
