Random reboots plague a few Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ units

It has been just one month since the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, and a few users have already begun reporting about certain issues with the device. First it was the red tinting on some units, and now there are a few handsets, which seem to be rebooting randomly.

Users have taken to the official Samsung forum, as well as the XDA-Developers forum for a possible solution to the problem. The original thread on the official Samsung forum started about a week ago, now has over 240 replies with most of the users facing the same issue. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to be a single batch of devices, as users from various countries on different carriers are reporting it.

Solutions suggested by other forum members include restoring the device to its factory state, removal of apps, and other such methods that usually work for these issues. However, the suggestions haven't proven to work in this case, and affected users are observing the reboots even after following the mentioned steps.

Samsung has not yet acknowledged the issue, but we will keep you updated if and when there will be more to share about the issue.
