Today, Razer announced the Blade Stealth, a gaming laptop that's designed to be ultraportable. The PC weighs in at just 2.82 pounds, and it's less than 12mm thin.
The Razer Blade Stealth packs an Intel Core i7-8565U CPU, which is from the company's Whiskey Lake lineup. It's a 15W quad-core chip, so it packs less of a punch when compared to traditional gaming laptops that have an H-series CPU, which are 45W and hexa-core. However, this means that the Blade Stealth will get better battery life, and Razer says that the base model can last for up to 13 hours.
In the graphics department, there's an option for an Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 4GB GDDR5. In terms of connectivity, you'll get a full Thunderbolt 3 port that supports 40Gbps data transfer speeds, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
The screen is 13.3 inches, and you get a choice between a 1080p matte screen and a 4K touchscreen. The side bezels are just 4.9mm, which is 60% smaller than the previous version. The top bezel is a bit larger than the sides, but alongside the webcam is an IR camera for Windows Hello, a rare feature in a gaming laptop and a first for Razer.
The Razer Blade Stealth will start at $1,399, and it's available today in the U.S. and Canada. It's coming soon to the UK, France, Germany, Nordics, China, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.
