RazerCon 2020 digital event announced, scheduled for October 10

The gaming-centric electronics company Razer has announced a brand new virtual event called RazerCon. The inaugural digital showcase is set to debut on October 10, 2020, and will last all day long. As for the keynote, it is scheduled to be delivered by CEO Min-Liang Tan at 9:00 AM PST through an interesting medium: mixed reality. RazerCon 2020 will highlight the company's upcoming products, product panels, and more.

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan commented on the inception of the virtual event:

“We have a very passionate and hardcore gaming community that has stuck with us for many years, and the idea of having a major gathering for Razer fans and all gamers out there was brought up countless times. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone around the world, greatly limiting physical events. We see RazerCon as an opportunity to celebrate gaming and the Razer community while setting a new standard for online events.”

At RazerCon 2020, the firm promises viewers the world's first RGB lighting-reactive live-stream experience. Apart from exhibitions and announcements of upcoming new products from the company, product panels will also be held, led by Razer employees. The Singaporean-American company will also showcase exclusive game-related content from select partners and studios including Intel, Nvidia, Western Digital, Paradox Interactive, Romero Games, and Perfect World Entertainment.

To promote a festive atmosphere, virtual concerts and performances have also been promised. The current lineup includes performances from celebrities of EDM and metal genres. Additionally, contests and raffles will also be held, with entrants standing to win several different goodies from the gaming company such as the Razer Blade 15 laptop and games and products from partner companies.

RazerCon 2020 is scheduled to go live on October 10 and will be broadcasted live on Twitch and YouTube. Other social media handles will also be updated regularly. More information about the virtual exhibition can be found on its official website.
