Red Dead Redemption 2, Final Fantasy IX, Halo 2, and more coming to Xbox Game Pass

The Xbox Game Pass subscriptions on Xbox One and Windows 10 are set to bolster their offerings in May, with Microsoft today announcing a new batch of titles that will be hitting the services during the first half of the month.

Inside the new arrivals for May are two first-party Xbox games, Halo 2 Anniversary for PC as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Minecraft Dungeons. Alongside those, the popular Final Fantasy series gets expanded on the subscriptions with Final Fantasy IX being added next week.

See below for the games incoming to the subscriptions in the first half of May:

Xbox Game Pass for Console:

  • DayZ - May 7
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 - May 7
  • Final Fantasy IX - May 14
  • Fractured Minds - May 19

Xbox Game Pass for PC:

  • Halo Master Chief Collection: Halo 2 - May 12
  • Final Fantasy IX - Coming soon
  • Endless Legend - Coming soon

Alongside the new arrivals, quite a few games will be leaving the two programs this month too:

Don't forget that the Xbox Game Pass discount for subscription holders, that goes up to 20% off, can be utilized to purchase these games before their removal from the services.

Moreover, a new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perk has arrived. A three month Spotify Premium subscription is now available to subscribers dwelling in France, Germany, Australia, Mexico and Brazil, as long as they haven't used Premium previously.
