Microsoft is going to leave no stone unturned when it comes to Windows 8. The company has previously shown off the UI for the tablet based interface and a few more details are now surfacing about the upcoming platform.
Beingmanan.com has picked up on a few subtle hints and has pieced together a portion of the puzzle that looks to bring "Chatter" to the Windows 8 platform. The first clue was the Windows 8 lock screen that features a webcam that indicates video calling or some other sort of visual based communication tool will be a key part of the platform. Following up on that bit of information, MDL users have discovered a dll file named ConsentUX.dll.
According to NaiveUser of MDL, the file triggers the follow options:
Do you want to allow %1 to use your %2 ?
CapabilityName
DisplayNameBlock
Do you want to you allow Chatter to use your video ?
Allow
Always Allow
Further, it is speculated that there will be a unified inbox of sorts that keeps all of your contact platforms together in one single location. While this feature is not ground breaking, it does show that Microsoft is working to converge all formats of communication. It also shows that this type of material will be baked into Windows 8 and will not simply be an additional program to the platform.
