Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic

At the Unpacked event, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic. The new smartwatches will be powered by OneUI which will run on top of Google's WearOS.

Apart from the new UI, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic will feature Samsung's new BioActive Sensor that combines Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis along with the usual Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor and Light Sensor. Both the watches will feature Samsung's new Exynos W920 Dual Core SoC based on 5nm architecture. The SoC will be paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Samsung will also be bundling Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and both the smartwatches will carry 5 ATM and IP68 rating.

The difference between Watch4 and Watch4 Classic comes down to the physical dimensions as well as the design. While both the watches will feature a 1.2" or 1.4" display, Watch4 Classic will be bigger in size due to the rotating bezel which is missing on Watch4. With today's launch, Samsung is giving users an option to either go with the physical rotating bezel or have a near bezel-less design but miss out on the physical rotating bezel. Apart from that, the Watch4 will feature an Aluminium case while Watch4 Classic will feature a Stainless-steel design.
