Samsung announces the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy Tab A 10.5" in the U.S.

Today, Samsung announced that it's bringing its Galaxy A6 handset and the Galaxy Tab A 10.5" to the United States.

The Samsung Galaxy A6 was originally announced in May, and it includes an impressive array of specs. There's a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED HD display and an octa-core Exynos 7884 processor, but a big focus was on the camera. The Galaxy A6 includes a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.7 aperture, and a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/1.9 aperture. Aside from that, you'll get 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.

The smartphone will be available from Samsung.com on September 14 for $329.99, and it will also be coming to Sprint that day, although there's no pricing for the carrier model. Additional carriers will announce availability in the coming weeks.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5" was first announced just over a month ago. This mid-range tablet packs a 10.5-inch FHD+ LCD and an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset, along with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 7,300mAh battery.

The tablet will be available from Amazon, Samsung.com, and Walmart beginning on September 14 for $329.99. There will also be a 4G LTE version coming to Sprint and Verizon later this year.

Finally, Samsung also announced that unlocked versions of its Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 will also be sold on Samsung.com on September 14, while carrier versions were announced earlier this year. The Galaxy J3 will cost $169.99, and the Galaxy J7 will cost $249.99.
