Samsung has rolled out the first software update to the Galaxy A70 in India nearly two months after announcing the mid-range smartphone. The over-the-air update introduces improvements to the phone's camera and fingerprint sensor along with bug fixes.
One of the key improvements to the handset's camera is the addition of the Beauty Video Mode to its rear shooter, allowing you to apply the filter in real time when recording a video. Additionally, the phone has received a new feature that prevents its display from recognizing accidental touches. It's a useful feature to keep your phone idle when it's in your pocket. Samsung also says the update adds improvements to the phone's camera picture quality.
With regard to its security features, the Galaxy A70's fingerprint sensor has been improved with better recognition performance. That's on top of other security improvements Samsung says are included in the update.
In addition, the update brings with it the May 2019 Android security patch and overall stability of functions. It comes in at 376.83MB and bumps up the software version to A705GMDDU1ASE4.
The Galaxy A70 is one of Samsung's latest additions to its family of mid-range devices debuted earlier this year, including the Galaxy A30 and A50 which were unveiled in February and the Galaxy A80 which was announced last month.
To get the new update, head over to the settings app of your phone and then tap "Update Software Manually" under the Software Update section.
