Samsung may be working on a Windows Mixed Reality headset

Last month, Acer's and HP's Windows Mixed Reality Headset Developer Editions began shipping, and later on that month, Dell, ASUS, and Lenovo all introduced their head-mounted displays (HMDs) for the platform. The first of the non-developer units from HP and Dell are slated to begin shipping on October 17, and 3Glasses already has one on the market.

But it appears that the next company to throw its hat into the Windows Mixed Reality ring is going to be Samsung. Discovered by Microsoft leakster WalkingCat, here's what the company's HMD is going to look like.

While the HMD will likely contain the same specs as the rest of the Windows Mixed Reality headset, one thing that sets this one apart is built-in headphones. This is something that's only currently seen on the 3Glasses HMD.

Unfortunately, that's all that we know about Samsung's headset. We don't even know what it will be called.

The company is no stranger to the virtual reality space though. It was one of the first to introduce its own solution, partnering with Oculus on the Gear VR.
