Samsung Pay update introduces support for dark mode

Samsung has begun rolling out an update to the Samsung Pay app with support for dark mode. However, the update does not seem to be available for everyone just yet. According to SamMobile, the feature appears to be live now at least in India.

Samsung Pay's dark mode works by obeying the phone's system settings, meaning the app automatically enables its dark theme if a user has turned on dark mode through the Settings app of the handset. Otherwise, the app will retain its typical light theme.

Dark mode is one of the top features introduced by Samsung's One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. It was previously called Night mode before Samsung renamed the featureto Dark mode last year. More importantly, its addition to Samsung Pay is a nice improvement given the comfort it gives to users when viewing their screen in low light settings or during night time.

Since the update is not available widely as of this time, users are advised to regularly check for a newer version of Samsung Pay. This can be done simply by opening the app, tapping the three-dot menu, opening the Settings section, and selecting "About Samsung Pay". Simply download the latest version if it's available already.
