Samsung quietly launches the Galaxy View2, Tab S5e and Tab A 10.1 also go on sale

Earlier this week, renders of Samsung's massive Galaxy View2 tablet were leaked, showing a device that's more compact than its predecessor with an 18.4-inch display. Today, the tablet has officially gone on sale via Samsung's online storefront for $739.99.

Unlike the leaked images, however, the official screen size of the Galaxy View2 is 17.3 inches instead of 17.5 and it has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. Also, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo rather than the latest Android version, which is a bit weird since it's a 2019 model.

Under the hood, it's powered by an octa-core Exynos 7884 SoC with a clock speed of 1.6GHz. It's got 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that's expandable up to 400GB via a microSD card slot. The device features a 5MP rear camera and packs a 12,000mAh battery.

Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy View2 supports both LTE and WiFi networks, plus it has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The tablet will begin shipping from April 30 and it's also available from AT&T in Dark Grey for $37 per month for 20 months.

In addition, the Galaxy Tab S5e and Tab A 10.1 are available to purchase from today, as promised by Samsung earlier this month. The Tab S5e, which was announced in February, retails from $400 (32GB variant) via Samsung's online store or $33.33 per month for 12 months with Samsung's financing plan. Meanwhile, the Tab A 10.1 (2019) is available at a starting price of $230.
