Samsung wants to win over customers by paying their phone bills

Customers on the S6 could be eligible for cashback on their monthly handset payments.

Samsung’s latest campaign to lure people away from the iPhone has ramped up in a bid to gain more marketshare in the North American region.

The company is offering to pay monthly device payments for new Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, or Galaxy S6 Edge customers for the rest of the year, which could be up to $120 worth of value. Current iPhone users wanting to switch over to will also be able to trade in their devices for a Galaxy device, and receive a bonus $100 Google Play gift voucher in the process.

The latest offerings come as the iPhone 6S launched in stores worldwide, sparking a frenzy as customers queued for hours to be first in line for the phone. The latest campaign comes after an offer earlier this year, which allowed iPhone users to “test drive” the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon iPhone users could sign up for the trial by accessing the promotion website on their Apple devices.

Unfortunately, the latest Samsung campaign is only valid for U.S residents on the T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, or US Cellular networks.
