Microsoft was way ahead of the pack when it debuted its Surface Hub three years ago. While it did take some time, competitors have now caught up and introduced their own interpretations of the device. Google introduced its Jamboard in 2016 and at this year's CES, Samsung has revealed the Flip.
The Samsung Flip is being touted by the firm as a "digital flip chart" display that is meant to promote a collaborative engagement environment. The board can allow interactions with up to four different users at the same time and each user will be able to customize the look of their interactions with personalized font, font size, and colors. Samsung touts that the Flip will offer excellent clarity thanks to its utilization of the 55-inch UHD display.
Although it is produced by Samsung, the Flip will offer support for different kinds of devices that can connect wirelessly, through USB, PC and more. Perhaps best of all, users will be able to share content seamlessly with its integrated screen-sharing function. As for customizations, the Flip can be orientated in landscape or portrait, and can even be mounted to a wall. As you might expect, data is stored securely, with users gaining access through the use of a password. Those interested can purchase the device directly from Samsung for $2699.99.
