Samsung's high end 'ChromeBook Pro' gets leaked online ahead of launch

For the past few months, rumors have been floating around that Samsung is working on developing a high end Chromebook device, codenamed "Kevin". While Samsung hasn't officially confirmed these rumors, it appears that they do hold some weight. The device, listed as "Samsung Chromebook Pro" has shown up on numerous retailers' websites including B&H and Adorama, as well as Samsung's own website. While most of these links have already been removed, you can still view the cached version of Samsung's website showing off the Chromebook here.

ChromeUnboxed, which first discovered the listing, reports that the Chromebook Pro packs a 12.3-inch touchscreen 360-degree rotatable display with a resolution of 2400x1600. The device sports a 3:2 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 234ppi. According to the images, the Chromebook Pro also features very thin bezels, an all-metal design and even a stylus. Other specs include 12.9mm-13.9mm thickness, 32GB of storage, 4GB RAM and 10 hours of battery life. The device weighs in at just 1.08kg.

The Chromebook Pro will (obviously) be powered by Chrome OS, and while the pricing or availability details weren't mentioned on Samsung's own website, Adorama had it listed for $499, and B&H had it slated for a 24th October availability.
