Samsung is having a pretty good first half of the year with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ selling over five million units. It was only a short while ago that the firm was dealing with a massive headache with its Galaxy Note7 bursting into flames across the world. While the firm originally stated that it would dispose of the defective handsets, it later announced that it would be offering them as refurbished units in certain parts of the world.
While the model name of the handset has yet to be confirmed, it appears that there might be a price for the unit, if a Korean price comparison website is accurate. According to a listing on Danawan, the refurbished handset will be priced at $625. This is a couple hundred less than when it was originally released. Although some might gravitate towards the refurbished model, one has to wonder who would be willing to spend that much on a handset that is almost a year old.
Although Samsung is currently offering its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ globally, those waiting for a follow-up to the Galaxy Note7 will be happy to know that the firm is working on one despite the stigma associated with the Note line. While details are extremely scarce at this point, we did catch a glimpse of the alleged front glass of the handset late last month. From the looks of it, the Galaxy Note8 will borrow some design elements from the Galaxy S8, offering thinner bezels around the display, and doing away with a physical home button.
Unfortunately, Samsung has not given a timeline for the device, but hopefully, the device will arrive sooner than later.
