SFR reveals Android update schedule, outs Android 4.0.5

It’s been a few days since we received news regarding the leaked release of Android 4.0.4 for the Galaxy Nexus, and whilst other other users maybe anxious to try the new update, French mobile phone company SFR has announced which devices will be getting Android 4.0 (Ice-Cream Sandwich) and has also confirmed the existence of Android 4.0.5.

According to the table, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S will be receiving an OTA update to Android 4.0.5 sometime in March, while the HTC Sensation and Galaxy SII will be updated to Android 4.0. Aside from this, a selection of older Android devices, including the LG Optimus Black, HTC Desire S, Desire HD, Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Pro, and Motorola Defy+ will be updated to various versions of Android 2.3. The SFR post also indicates that updates for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Ray and Mini Pro are to be announced.

The chart also states how the update will be available to users, (OTA or Kies):

It will be interesting to see what Google brings to Android 4.0.5. Android 4.0 revisions are minimally improved, so it'd be great to see a substantial change in the fifth revision.
