Some lucky Insiders are getting free hardware from Microsoft to test out Continuum

Microsoft’s Insider program has been of great benefit for the company, which received countless lines of feedback and suggestions on how to improve their products. And now some lucky Insiders are getting a thank you present for all that work.

According to a report from Windows Central, which is citing a Reddit user, Microsoft is sending out enrollment letters to some of the most active users in the Insider program. Inside the letter the company is asking if you’d like to participate in testing out Continuum and giving feedback on it. Those who are interested can get some Continuum hardware for free.

For those of you unfamiliar with the feature, Continuum allows a Windows 10 Mobile device to act like a PC when connected to a larger screen. This means Universal Windows Apps will scale up and take on their desktop UI version. It’s Microsoft’s big bet for the future of mobile, but it does require some specialized hardware. But that’s ok for the lucky Insiders who will be receiving a Microsoft Lumia 950 or 950 XL, a Microsoft Display Dock and an Actiontec wireless adapter.

Rumors that Microsoft was looking to expand the Insider Program to include hardware have been going around for a few weeks now, started by another letter sent by the company. There, in a much more generalized fashion, Microsoft was asking Insiders to help it create the “device of your choices”, which sounds like a way to customize handsets and devices more than anything else.

Still, it’s cool to see Insiders being rewarded for their work as the company continues to use its users’ passion for future products.
