Today Sony has announced the latest addition to its PS4 Pro lineup. This comes just in time for its hit franchise God of War to have an upgrade to the current gen console on April 20, 2018. The bundle will debut alongside the game including extra content and retail for $400 USD in the U.S. and $500 CAD in Canada. This is the same cost of a regular PS4 Pro bundle in its respective countries without any added games or digital content.
If you are a fan of the series, you might really appreciate how much detail they put into the design on both the console and the controller to signify the Norse mythology-based release. In further regards to the particular style of this bundle, Shannon Studstill, Head of Santa Monica Studio, shared her remarks:
“When we designed Kratos’ new Leviathan Axe, we knew it would have far more meaning not only to the game, but to our fans. Santa Monica Studio was extremely proud to adorn the custom PS4 Pro with the Leviathan Axe in such detailed fashion. We spent a painstaking amount of time to ensure this PS4 Pro was special, for the special fans who will cherish it."
Sony releases custom models of its flagship console for big and coming video games such as Star Wars Battlefront II, Uncharted 4, and the Call of Duty franchise. It's nice to see that God of War gets the same treatment.
