Splash Damage snipes Killzone 2 lead

In May 2008, Splash Damage offered the initial clues on its first project since the well-received PC edition of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, saying that it had entered into a long-term development deal with Fallout 3 creators Bethesda Softworks. Since then, the London-based studio has been bulking up on industry talent, announcing in December that Fable II lead designer Paul Ham would take over as creative lead at the studio.

Today, Splash Damage said that it has acquired yet one more industry heavyweight. The company announced that Killzone 2 lead level designer Neil Alphonso will fill the same role on the Bethesda-published game. Prior to his stint at Guerrilla Games, which shipped its highly rated PlayStation 3-exclusive shooter in February, Alphonso served as an environment designer on Ubisoft's original Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and as a level designer on 3D Realms' Duke Nukem Forever.
